Northern Valley JS
Hey everyone, just looking to throw some of the prep that I read onto here so some of you can steal it. Currently debating policy at USMA so I'm not giving out everything but I put mostly all my phil positions that I don't think are too terrible here.
I was pretty much exclusively a phil debater in high school with a few tricky positions here and there. I did alright in high school despite not having the best (or even good to be honest) efficiency or speed. My favorite strategy was the NC AC strategy which is definitely underrated and is very strategic if you really know what you're talking about.

General Stuff I Cut
1NC -- Axiarchism - an NC I never broke and is probably bad but you'd likely catch people off and win anyways if read
1NC -- Logical Positivism - a really terrible NC that shouldn't really be read, but I won with a few times.
1NC -- Mereological Nihilism - never broken, is probably alright as a NIB nc
1NC -- Determinism - read a few times, it's false but decent
1NC -- Modal Realism - one of the better NC's I've cut, has lots of potential.
1NC -- God- my bread and butter for the neg at Harvard. 100% win rate there.

I went to 1 tournament (Harvard) and I read libertarianism on aff and the Stilz or God NC on the neg. Did alright despite not having done any debate for a year.
1AC -- Ayn Rand Paul Ryan - I've read a lot of lib on various topics, and this was probably the best framework I made. A lot more strategic than reading Kant with the libertarianism stuff, which is very suspicious.
1NC -- Stilz- read in lay rounds, fairly good

Did all my best debating here
1AC -- Burdens - really enjoyed reading this aff though I eventually just went over to reading the contracts aff after a bit. Of all the burdens affs I've written/seen, one of the most coherent ones.
1AC -- Contracts - the main aff I read at Harvard/Peninsula
1NC -- Libertarianism - this NC got me to semis of Harvard since people kept spending their whole 1AR dumping Kant turns on it even when they didn't link, which was funny.
Other Misc. Stuff I think is Good
Constitutions NC - A constitution NC I cut all the way back on the compulsory voting topic that I actually sort of like. Read once and won on it.
NC -- Error Constraint - An NC that objectively is unwinnable given the right responses but people overthought and lost to. Won several rounds against good debaters at Apple Valley going for it
