From Circuit Debater LD
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Hey all, I was a K debater from a historically policymaking school which means my stylistic preferences were all over the board. We had a ton of AC's for TOC but I only really read Queer Pess as my 1NC. I'm also only uploading the prep that I directly did, my wiki should have all the other stuff I read but I don't feel comfortable uploading other people's prep. If yall have any questions or feel like hiring me please email me at [email protected] . Additionally, I'm only uploading JanFeb prep because that's really the only prep I did by myself and is also probably the best work. If any of y'all are up and coming underclassmen I'd recommend just reading more books. I rarely drilled outside of camp and even there spent most of my time putting together files.

If any of y'all are up and coming underclassmen interested in kritiks I'd recommend just reading more books. I rarely drilled outside of camp and even there spent most of my time putting together files. Reading books may seem like an unhelpful tradeoff but reading the authors arguments actually makes it substantially easier to articulate them in round which means you won't need to spend as much time drilling. It also means that when two fields of literature clash in round you are very much able to explain the contours of the literature and how your field comes out on top. Even if you aren't interested in kritiks, reading more books will allow you to prep your disad impacts or explain the intricacies of how your plan will affect the political process which will put you light years ahead of the other kids.

Jan-Feb AC's

This aff was a straight up tilter and pissed off a few of the top debaters but I mean that probably means it worked. I loved reading this aff because it allowed me to put myself into debate and I recommend that everyone figure out how they individually can do that.

Never broke this aff but my policymaking roots told me to write this.

Read this aff primarily at blake but it sucked so I stopped reading it.

This was the aff I broke at Emory and it did really well. I think this field of antiblackness literature is super interesting and people should explore it more because while wilderson is great he's not the only debate relevant antiblackness author.

Never read this aff but I always wanted to. This aff was written primarily just to screw with people and heg against the common args on the topic. Took a lot of inspiration from Michigan KM for this aff.

Jan-Feb NC's

My one and only.

Wrote this to read against an undercommons aff or other black optimism aff's but never hit one.
